Rob Held, friend and former board member of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Monmouth County, is lovingly remembered for his enthusiasm, energy, direction and warmth. He grew up in Monmouth County and became a successful sailor and business owner. We want the spirit of our friend Rob to live on at Big Brothers Big Sisters so, in his honor, we developed the Rob Held Youth Development Fund. |
The Rob Held Youth Development Fund benefits the mentoring services and the programs and activities geared toward the development and enhancement of children's self-esteem and self-reliance. This fund also allows Big Brother Big Sister of Monmouth County to offer sailing scholarships for two or more children in the program, each summer.
The Rob Held Youth Development Fund is not used for operating income. Instead, this Fund is our trust fund. The interest from it is used for operating income, and a small portion of the fund is used for the sailing scholarships.
